Demon Contract

I haven't published for a while - I've been working on some longer stories. Here is the first - Demon contract. It's around 20,000 words, which is twice as long as normal. I hope you like it. I'm keeping the price down to the same as my other books for June and July.

When Charlie wakes up in hospital his first thought is that Hooters have gone into healthcare; his second is that the large-breasted nurses seem to spend an inordinate amount of time pleasuring the mysterious stranger in the bed next to him. His interest turns to worry as he learns that the stranger is a demon summoned by him earlier, promising earthly riches and unlimited carnal delights, but there is a catch; if Charlie does not sign the contract requiring regular sacrifices to feed the demon’s lusts the consequences will not be pleasant. Damned if he does, and damned if he doesn’t. How will Charlie escape the trap he finds himself in? And as the nurses turn their erotic attentions to him as well, will he even care?

My first rejection letter!

As a self-published author I don't normally have to deal with rejection, because my publisher (me) always agrees with my author (me) as to when a piece is ready for release to the big wide world. That all changed recently when I submitted a piece for an erotic blog. I received a very nice reply, politely rejecting it. OMG! How do all other authors cope?

I went to a session at a literary festival this month where the speaker talked about the vast amount of rejection letters authors get, even well-known and successful ones. I seriously doubt I could cope with that amount of negativity on a regular basis! If I stopped self-publishing I think I would have to get someone to do that for me, and just give me summaries.

"Hi there Mr Persuader. You got rejected 43 times last month, but there is some interest in the story of the cheerleader and the firemen by a few publishers. Woman's Knitting Weekly will take the tale of the couple stranded in the ski chalet, but only if you add another woman to make it a threesome; they wondered about a goat as well to spice things up. Playboy will buy the deflowering of the Elizabethan heiress, but only if you take out all the sex and just make it a historical piece. Oh, and Piers Morgan wants you on his show again. Apparently ratings double whenever you are on."

Oh well, we can all dream.

Anyway, after a few hours of depression I finally got over it and am ready to try again. I took all the points to heart and now am ready for a second try. Fingers crossed they like this one!

New story - Forfeits

Helen was reluctant to while away a boring train journey by playing cards for forfeits with two strangers. When she realized they were dumb yokels with a pile of money she changed her mind and decided to take them for everything they had, even though her forfeit was to remove an item of clothing for every hand she lost. After all, she could stop whenever she wanted to, couldn't she? But as the pile of money in front of her increased and the amount she was wearing decreased, she found it harder and harder to stop. No matter. The two idiots were so boneheaded they would never notice if she marked the cards a little. There was no need to stop playing just because she was down to her underwear…especially if she couldn't lose.

Only when she had her mouth wrapped round the biggest cock she had seen in her life did she discover it never pays to cheat when you are playing cards with gods.

Warning. This book contains adult content including scenes of gradual stripping, mind control, oral sex, sex on a train, 2M-1F sex, cum swallowing, huge cock sex and gradual sluttification.

Waitress Service

Waitress Service is now available on Amazon and Smashwords. In my personal opinion Amazon format the footnotes better for the Kindle, but the difference is marginal.

When student Candice Evans takes a job at the new coffee shop in town, she isn’t taking the job to serve coffee at all. Her outraged feminist group is taking covert action against the scandalously short uniforms the waitresses all wear; Candice is there to secretly gather evidence of working malpractices so they can get the place shut down as soon as possible. But when the restaurant manager shows Candice a set of miniature dolls, Candice soon finds herself wanting to dress just like the dolls and copy the wanton poses they are arrayed in. And as her job initiation progresses Candy can’t stop herself becoming hornier and hornier and behaving sluttier and sluttier until she finds that bringing coffee is the least of the services she is expected to offer.

Amazon secretly remove tags from all Kindle books

As of 2013 Amazon have removed tagging from all Kindle books. I've no idea why they have done this. Perhaps they were being abused. Perhaps they were not useful. I have tried to find out from Amazon why this happened, but so far they have not replied.

It looks like the decision to remove tags has not filtered down to all departments in Amazon yet. For instance, the tagging feature is still available in the author page - you can add seven tags to your books, but they will now never be seen by customers.

It's a bit frustrating they did this without any announcements. I spent several fruitless hours trying to fix this. It's also frustrating that they didn't fix the author page so that you can still spend time pointlessly tagging your books.

In the long run perhaps this is a good thing. I spent a long time tagging because I read it was the right thing to do to help people find your books, but I never knew whether this actually helped or not. Now I don't have to bother to do this any more and I won't be at a disadvantage to people who spend time and effort tagging.

If anyone knows why they did this, please comment.

Update (17/2/13). Tags still seem to be available on the .co.uk site, but not on the .com site. No idea why that is either!

Edited transcript of my chat with customer service:

Me: Hi. I can't see or edit tags on any product

Amazon: I'm truly sorry, but the kindle books can not be tags. only some retail items can
be tag.
if you wish I can transfer you chat to our specialized team for the more information.

Me:this is not correct, I have seen tags on books before but it has stopped working.
Also as an author I get to put 7 tags on my books.

Amazon:Yes you are right, before you can tag it, but now this function has been
removed from the kindle content.

Me: When did this happen? And is there anywhere I can read more about this?

Amazon:from the 2013, this function has been removed.
however I'll definitely forward you view as a feedback to our specialized and they will
definitely concern on it, Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the
service we provide, and we're glad you took time to let us know. The Kindle Team will
carefully review your suggestions.

Waitress Service...and got my first comment spam!

Waitress Service should be published very soon now, so keep checking back for the release date. Many thanks for those who helped with the English-Chinese translations for rascally old Mr. Wu. I'm hoping to get an extract printed on another blog site where I will also post money-off coupon codes, so make sure to check here for details before you buy.

In other news, my blog is now so popular the spammers are here! Hello 'Tom Watson'. Sorry about your huge stomach and the weight loss plan that got rid of it, but you have now been consigned to the digital abyss.

Creative Juices

Sometimes when the creative juices flow, you just have to go with them. I'm not sure I would be so churlish as to complain that I'm having too much of a good thing, but I do have eight stories on the go at the moment.

Let me explain a bit about how I write. I like to get a skeleton outline down first, and then expand that into a first draft. At that point, I don’t worry too much about spelling, grammar, or anything apart from getting the words out of my head and onto the (electronic) paper. Sometimes I write, sometimes I type, sometimes I use a stylus and sometimes I dictate; the method I use depends on where I am and what I have to hand. Then I’ll go through the draft tidying up, and also checking the plot (such as it is) and looking for places where I still need to expand on the skeleton. I might still have a few sentences like [write tit-fucking scene here] or [more on why she is on the train] which need fleshing out.

After this process, it’s now a 'real first draft’, with the whole story down, and most spelling and grammar corrected. I then set the story aside for a while, because at that point I can stand it any more.

Later, (sometimes much later), I’ll read it right through again seeing how it hangs together, and correcting those minor glitches I missed last time. At this point, I often have some more ideas where I want to expand the plot, add some more scenes, and generally mess with the story. Sometimes it even becomes a completely different story, or I’ll have some ideas that mean I need to mess with the timings, move some scenes around and generally cause mayhem. That will always introduce a few plot errors, so I’ll need to put the story aside again, and wait once more for the next re-read.

Eventually I feel happy with it as it is and don’t want to change it any more. I’ll then read it through a few more times, and then finally, publish. Creating the book cover takes an hour or so, mostly finding the right cover photo, and publishing usually takes half a day, what with all the formatting and other requirements. I publish as a dummy book first, costing $100 - but hey, feel free to buy if you want a sneak preview an hour ahead of everyone else! I download that to my own Kindle and do a final formatting check. After that, I publish for real, going out on Smashwords first, because that is easiest, and then Amazon second.

From first word to publishing all takes quite a time, as you can imagine, but it can take even longer if I suddenly get another idea for a story. When that happens, I try and get the skeleton plot down as quickly as possible, in case I forget. Usually I’ll get carried away and go further, getting the story down as much as I can. Before I know it, the whole day can be gone, with the story I was working on forgotten for the time being.

Anyway, all of that is the reason I haven’t released anything for a while, but instead have eight stories on the go. Coming soon...three more NanoPanty stories (The Wrong Panties, Tales from Tech Support, Cum Gum), a revenge story (Demon Sacrifice), another demon story (The Pact), a mind control story (Milf Town), a sci-fi story (ha ha, I’ll probably use a different pen name for that one), and a mind control voodoo doll story (Waitress Service).

Watch this space!

Oh and if you have a preference for the one you would like to read next, drop me a comment or send me an email - me@the-persuader.com.
